Visit www.seac.net.au for a complete wrap up of all events, workshops, presentations etc on climate change and peak oil action.

Welcome to SEAC!

The Sunshine Coast Energy Action Centre opened its doors in August 2007 as Australia’s first peak oil and climate change community education centre including; guest speakers (community supported agriculture coordinators, solar energy experts, peak oil activists, university climatologists), presentations (what is peak oil? starting your own action group), DVDs (The Power of Community, End of Suburbia, Australia’s Inconvenient Truth) and hands on workshops (composting and worm farming at home, introduction to permaculture, cheese and bread making – reskilling courses). We also try to keep tabs of all the events on the Sunshine Coast and beyond that may be of interest to people looking to do something about either peak oil and or climate change. We'll let you know what's on and where to go!

You can visit us online at our website www.seac.net.au

The co-founders of SEAC are Janet Millington – permaculture educator, school teacher, and well known community activist and Sonya Wallace – who has a background in state government, risk management and communication and who is also a permaculture educator.

SEAC’s main role within the relocalisation network in Australia will be as a catalyst for the proliferation of relocalisation groups across the nation. SEAC is a central point of information, support, resources, networking, events, and information sessions to keep groups active, strong, motivated and moving forward in the relocalisation of their own communities.

If you would like to join SEAC, visit us, help us out in our mission or start your own group, please contact the SEAC Coordinator at info@seac.net.au

Statement of Intent
